IV's

I didn't anticipate that this summer Kali would walk around talking about IV's. But that is what life is, a lot of unexpected. On June 9th Kali had a near drowning at our neighborhood pool. It was just  small moment and she was under. Kali was blessed she was able to regain consciousness quickly. She spent 2 nights at the Children's Hospital one night in the PICU. There are no lingering side effects from the drowning. She was a real trooper at the hospital and after the initial fear of being their wore off she was a pleasant little buddy who liked to snuggle. She even held my hand and told me "You saved me Mommy."
She slept with her car at the hospital

When we came home she did well but she needed me to hold her hand and kept telling me "don't leave mommy"
And she thinks she's grown up enough to eat cookie dough. And  I smile even though she steals my phone and takes 250 pictures a day of nothing but maybe 1/2 of my face.

And then Henry "tape foot" Taylor had surgery to fix his foot.
He rides around on this knee scooter, and Aubrey calls him "Screw Foot'

there it is.... gross, cool you pick.

He's an Amazing Dad and the kids can't wait to wrestle him again. Only 3 months until he can start bearing weight on that foot again. (From June 18)
